    You know, it’s kind of ironic that when people think about quitting smoking or starting a weight loss program or gym membership “I can’t afford it” is the biggest excuse for not doing it. Yet, if you spent your cigarette money on say, the patch or some kind of nicotine reduction product, you would be spending about the same as for cigarettes for the first little while. As you ween yourself off, you spend less and less until eventually all your cigarette money is in your pocket. Plus, all the insurance premiums and lower health care and doctor bills like you mentioned. Really, how can anyone afford to keep up with unhealthy lifestyles anymore?

    Living healthy has a ripple effect that really does circle out into so many directions. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle also gives you better concentration and makes it easier to manage high pressure situations at work or at home. The foods we eat can really change how we interact with others and our health has a big impact on our work performance, which in turn translates into better jobs or promotions. It’s not a coincidence that so many CEO’s appear fit and healthy.
