Herbert Can Be Ever Ready

The Don Harrington Discovery Center located in Amarillo Texas is the perfect mix of education and entertainment. Both children and adults will enjoy a day out at the Don Harrington Discovery Center and leave with more knowledge than they had upon entering the Discovery Center.

The Discovery Center has recently been under construction and has renovated most of its 25,000 square feet of exhibit space to include permanent exhibits like Amazing Bodies, Planetary Landscapes, the Bubbles exhibit, and much more. The Discovery Center is also looking to continue the renovations and further build towards the future with new permanent exhibits including the Hunters of the Sky, which is an in depth look at the cultural and natural history of birds of prey, and Bounce, which is everything about those round balls that intrigue people and leave us in awe and amazement.

The Space Theater is a digital planetarium that supplies visitors with an out of the planet trip to the surrounding galaxies in the solar system and to the depths of deep space. The highly flexible digital planetarium takes visitors on a thrilling ride from Mars to the edge of a black hole in a matter of seconds while a trip of that magnitude and distance is real life would take years.

In addition to the new exhibits there is a 100-seat multimedia auditorium and 3,000 square foot multipurpose room that are available to be rented out by anyone for receptions, banquets and parties. For anyone who may be visiting Amarillo Texas, it would be a good investment to choose a hotel from the list of good one’s in the area and stay for a few days . The Don Harrington Discovery Center could very well be a two day trip in itself being as how there are so many exhibits and so much to see, learn, and experience. Going for only one day would be a challenge.
