Here we go again
Here we go again! Why does it always feel like we are going round and round with everything. Issues not really changing in any real sense but just going in circles repeating the same things. This goes on on a global, societal, regional, corporate, government and personal level. This seems to be the case especially in the work place. Projects and changes are thought of, talked about, researched and finally implemented, perhaps in a shadow form of the original idea. But finally after much time money and going round and round something gets implemented. Frequently this doesn’t completely address the issue it was conceived to take care of and therefore at some future time and date the ‘issue’ will resurface and the process of dealing with it will begin all over again. After years in the same corporation the same issues come up, the same solutions are taught of similar process employed to deal t=with the issue and then the outcome is the same. Frequently inadequate and therefore setting up a repeat scenario again in the future. Contemplating this from my 5 star Barcelona hotel I see a lot of futility in this going in circles and into really resolving issues. The plus side is it keeps lots of folks employed and income flowing in for them. However what is the overall cost if we really are not accomplishing what we had set out to do originally? I suppose the purpose of this inefficiency of process creates the illusion of work and employment and therefore income for people that may otherwise go unemployed. As frustrating as this cycle of seemingly going no where, addressing the same issue over and over again is a way to perpetuate the need for employing more people than are really needed if efficient ways of working and resolving issues were employed.
